Court of appeals grants writs for felix salaveria, disappeared

We welcome the decision of the Court of Appeals granting the writs of amparo and habeas data in favor of the daughters of Felix Salaveria Jr. We hope this ruling will lead to the surfacing of both Felix Salaveria and James Jazmines, and ultimately of all desaparecidos. Decisions like this affirm the importance of protecting victims of human rights violations and should compel state security forces to fulfill their duty to serve and protect the people—not selectively investigate based on unfounded suspicions of activism or alleged affiliation with the NPA. Human rights must be upheld. Victims and their loved ones deserve truth, justice, and genuine protection.
