Katribu joined the action earlier today at the Department of Justice to mark the International Day in Solidarity with Political Prisoners. Moro and Indigenous Peoples continue to be vilified, persecuted, and unjustly detained for asserting their rights to ancestral lands and self-determination.
Under the Bongbong Marcos administration, Katribu has recorded 108 Indigenous Peoples and advocates who remain behind bars on trumped-up charges. Their detention is a stark reminder of how the state weaponizes the law to silence resistance, suppress community leaders, and undermine the struggles of Indigenous Peoples for land and justice.
Our communities remain steadfast in the face of militarization, forced evacuations, and the relentless encroachment of destructive projects. Each political prisoner represents a story of courage: of those who defend the land in the face of attacks on human rights.

Today, we call on the public to stand with us in demanding the immediate release of all Moro and Indigenous Peoples political prisoners. Solidarity means refusing to accept a society where rights defenders are persecuted while rights violators and corrupt officials like Bongbong Marcos and Sara Duterte walk free. In the face of injustice, we remain united: Free all political prisoners! Lahat ng sangkot sa korapsyon, dapat ikulong!
