Defend Our Peace Consultants! Resume Peace Talks Now!

For decades, Simon “Ka Filiw” Naogsan has been at the forefront of the struggle for Indigenous Peoples’ rights, self-determination, and just peace. As a peace consultant and longtime advocate, he has dedicated his life to addressing the very injustices that fuel armed conflict—landlessness, exploitation, and systemic oppression. It is precisely because of this work that he, like many others before him, such as those working for peace in the NDFP and CPDF, became a target of state repression. The government has consistently chosen to silence those who fight for meaningful change rather than address the root causes of the conflict.

It is only right and just that the Regional Trial Court Branch 16 in Alfonso Lista dismissed the trumped-up charges against Ka Filiw. His arrest and persecution were never about justice but about criminalizing those who resist oppression. His case is not an isolated one but part of a larger pattern of red-tagging, terrorist designations, and political persecution designed to vilify and detain those advocating for systemic change. These attacks do not resolve conflict; they only sustain the cycle of violence that the state itself perpetuates.

We demand the immediate dismissal of all fabricated charges against political prisoners and peace consultants. We call for the immediate release of Ka Filiw and all others unjustly detained for their advocacy. The fight for Indigenous Peoples’ rights is not a crime but a historical duty born from centuries of struggle.

We will not be silenced. We will continue to resist. Free all political prisoners and peace consultants! Address the roots of armed conflict—resume the peace talks now!
